Schedule Changes
Student schedules are posted on the Student Portal in August. Students are strongly encouraged to follow their schedules the first few days of school.
If there is a need to request any schedule changes, students must complete a Schedule Change Request Form. These can be obtained from the guidance office or below:
Parental Responsibility for Student Placement
This form is required to change a teacher recommended course (ie. English, math, history, science, world language).
This form is required to add and drop elective courses.
The Schedule Change Request Form must include a parent/guardian signature and, if required by the course description, a teacher signature.
Schedule change requests for two weeks after each semester begins. Counselors will work with schedule change requests on a first come-first serve basis.
Schedule change requests will be considered for the following reasons:
1. To correct mechanical errors.
2. To make up credit deficiencies.
3. To add an additional elective course for a study hall.
(May not involve additional course manipulations.)
Scheduling for the Upcoming School Year
Scheduling for the upcoming school year usually takes place in January of each school year. Students complete the registration process in their Seneca Valley Student Portal. The following resources will be helpful for students completing the scheduling process:
